RE: Operational: S.T.A.R.

Star stays still for several moments and waits for the scientist to walk near her before adjusting the gun and shooting once more with a less intense ion beam, but surely enough to make sure that the beast actually stay there - at least until a ship was powered up and flying into space.

Without a second thought, she unplugs the gun from her stomach, closes the small hatch and let's the gun thud against the docking bay floor. She checks herself for a moment and simply nods, walking back towards the ship that had caught her eye earlier.

She presses the door panel to open it and climbs inside, helping the man in as well before closing in behind her. As the scientist finds a seat in one of the four extras apparently modified into the fighter model, she begins to power the ship up and turns all the basic systems on.

The modified Thunderbird begins to slowly lift off the ground as she turns it towards the door and begins to push the controls forward. Within the next few moments, they just begin to exit the atmosphere and to the sight of the millions of stars within the black void called space.

Star continues straight for the moment, flipping switches and reading the monitor to check the ship out as she speaks. "What should I call you, and where is the best place to go to find repairs for my systems or at least my exterior damage?" she asks, a few obvious bullet dents on her body as well as some rather odd-shaped impact ones, though nothing too bad.

RE: Operational: S.T.A.R.

Scientist: Uhh, Peter. And the best place was back there, but everybody's... everybody's dead.

He goes quiet, staring for a moment.

It finally hits him. He can't believe everybody he knew in the lab is dead. He can't believe he just narrowly escaped being maimed by a hideous alien. And especially, he can't believe he's still alive. He buries his face in his hands and sobs.

The ship is suddenly shaken violently. The monitor shows that the hull has sustained damage. The ship-to-ship communications panel shows that they are being hailed.

Star examines the how much damage and notes that while not fatal or life-threatening, she wouldn't be using the hyper drive anytime soon. She switches the communications up as slows the ship down to a slow halt before speaking to them first.

"Hello, who is this and is there something you want?" she asks in a rather unsurprising monotone.

Voice: Stop and power down your vessel or we will be forced to destroy it.

Out of the left window, quite far off, a small fighter is looming, motionless, its weapons locked on Star's ship.

Star looks out the left window and moves her ship to a complete stop, pressing a few buttons and switching the power off to the engines, letting her ship slowly drift in space. She glanced by to the sobbing scientist who had probably all but stopped now and relaxed in her seat, hitting the communications again. "Stopped and powered down," she replied, as if the commands didn't even worry her at all.

She could already tell several things from the single sentence and likelyhoods. One being that the chances of this being the military personal on the planet's surface was slim, seeing as they didn't have any hesitation in destorying her ship while the military personal were ordered not to engage her. With that assumption, it was highly probable the crew of the fighter had very little clue what she was actually capable of and it was probable that they were also humans.

Besides, there was nothing exactly that Star wished to keep if they wanted to raid the ship and if worse came to worse, she'd probably be able to fight them off and take their ship - assuming they were boarding. Any other possible scenario that could occur wouldn't likely put her in any danger, while trying to escape would. Since her objectives depended on her staying intact, the risks were much lower if she didn't resist.

So, she now waited.

RE: Operational: S.T.A.R.

A large cargo ship moves in, engulfing their ship.

Peter: What are you doing? They'll capture you, and they'll probably kill me!

The cargo bay doors close agonizingly slowly--at least, it's agonizing to Peter. When they fully close, the ship sets down gently on the floor as artificial gravity is eased on. Another moment later, and the red alert lights turn off, replaced with normal white light, indicating that all life support has returned to normal.

Four men, with two of the stupid robots seen earlier, move in toward the ship, but keep a good distance.

Star keeps inhumanly calm as the ship is engulfed into the cargo bay and settles into the bay. She Slowly stands up and looks over the men entering as well as the rather inefficient skeleton models. She shifts and turns to the scientist, shaking her head some. "I will assume you are not being serious. Both of the metallic skeletons are of extremely inefficient models and the chances of four ordinary humans being able to win a battle against me is improbable. I will not let them kill you and the chances of your and my survival were dramatically less if we were to get into a fighter battle with them."

With another seemingly uncaring motion, which may seem normal to Peter now, she walks past him and opens the door out of the ship and calmly walks down it. She gracefully pivots around the ship and stands a fairly good distance away, easily showing the dents in her body. "I will defend myself if you're going to use force against me, as my objectives clearly depend on my survival. You will not harm the scientist - Peter either as my objectives also relay on possible valuable information he may hold as a survivor. Now, who are you and what do you want?" she asked, blunt as ever.

RE: Operational: S.T.A.R.

The men are uneasy about Star's calmness.

Man: Remove any weapons you have on you and our droids will escort you to your chambers. Comply and we will not be forced to--

A loud boom resonates through the hull and the ship rumbles.

Peter: Not again...!

An alarm sounds and the red alert lights kick back on. A loudspeaker buzzes to life.

Voice: We just lost our engines. We're not moving anywhere.

One of the armed men hits his radio.

Man: Jump to hyperspace! Now!

The ship rocks again.

Voice: Uh, we lost that too. Hang on, we're being hailed.

Star balances herself a bit as the ship rocks back and forth due to the damage and turns around again and seems to examine her own ship, specially where it had been noticeably hit. She doesn't seem all that dangerous at the moment and instead begins to do what looks like her trying to fix the ship, pulling back some of the metal that had been impacted in.

She turns around again and begins to walk across the floor, shifting through any various tools that seemed scattered across the area and gathering them up near the ship. Just as before, she seems rather unusually calm. Though without their knowledge, she keeps listening to all the transmissions her module could pick up.

RE: Operational: S.T.A.R.

Loudspeaker: Sir, they're demanding to board!

The armed man seems to ignore the pilot and turns his attention back to Star.

Armed man: What is she doing?! Get her out of here!

The ship is hit again. One of the robots, magnetically placing its weapon directly onto its back with a clang, walks over to Star and grabs her shoulder. The armed man hits his radio again.

Armed man: We've got frickin' weapons on the ship, don't we? What are you waiting for?! And tell Miles to start shooting!
