RE: The Mist of Wist

Neil is being sort of dragged around as Szyren pulls off perfect blind shots through the smoke. He is impressed by her ability.

But then again, these guys must be frigging bullet magnets since not only is she successfully shooting them blind, but two of them managed to injure themselves with ricochets.

He begins to wonder just how famous the Red... whatever it was is.

But you know...

Wait. I should probably say that out loud.

Neil: But you know... Calling out the captain of a ship... on their ship... is... I mean, I'm not one to say anything, but...

Szyren: This is pretty freaking amazing, since I can never hit anything if I can see it...

She realizes Neil has said something and she lets him go, unsure of where they are now in the ships general layout.  Probably still in the hanger, since she doesn't remember going through any doors and the smoke is still everywhere.

Szyren: What's the cop-ee-tan going to do about it? She can't see anything either.

Szyren has a strong desire to get out of the smoke.

Szyren: You lead now, and try and find us a way out of here so we can go tell the ship to self destruct.

RE: The Mist of Wist

A voice is heard somewhere off to the side, as Imelda has wandered away from most of the confusion.

Imelda: Yes, I do admit that my pirates seem to have lost their minds, and there will be some paying for that. Their behavior is unexcusable and I am sorry you had to witness such stupidity. However, you did land in my ship, and crushed a box of my peanuts. You then proceeded to shoot out into my ship, which is very nice, you could see it if you hadn't have pumped it full of smoke.

Now, my Officers are much more intelligent then the poor souls you have witnessed. All I have to do, is to give the order for them to fire towards your ship, and it will be done. Now, if some of my men die in the process, it will serve them right. I am not known as a nice soul.

I will give you one minute to decide what you want to do. We can discuss this whole thing face to face, or I can vent the hangar, and good luck finding your ship before I give the order. So, the choice I leave up to you. Drop your weapons and surrender or forfeit your lives.

There is a sound of a blast door opening, and closing again. Imelda has found her way out, and is headed for the overlook, where her Officers await orders.

Neil is unsure.

Neil: Okay, let's see here. She's not very happy about all this, we crushed her peanuts—an obviously heinous act—and killed her mans. And she has a point about the whole finding our ship thing. If you have any ideas, I'll be glad to hear them.

If Szyren doesn't think of anything, Neil plans to surrender. After all, they forgot about the Glock in the ankle holster!

RE: The Mist of Wist

Szyren drops to the floor in a cross-legged sitting position.  This is the best thinking position she can muster on such short notice.

Szyren: I already told her I wanted to speak face to face, but she didn’t listen to me, did she? Noooo~.  Crazy… accent… woman.

She thinks some more and tries not to dwell on how extremely unreasonable the pirate is being.  She’s met some rude pirates in her time, but this one was just plain mean, and for no good reason.  Granted, half of this was Neil’s fault, since he’s the one who decided to take them into the Red Water in the first place.  And then, some of it was probably her fault too… Well, pirate hunting was her idea in the first place.

Szyren: How much do you value your ship, Neil?  We could hide, which will probably get your ship destroyed, or we can have a face off with the pirate chick, which will probably get us destroyed, and then she might just destroy your ship for the fun of it… But if we hide and get found, we’re dead anyways.  So I really don’t see us winning in this situation unless we outsmart everyone…

And I’m allergic to peanuts, so I really don’t care about hers.

A gruff voice off to the side can be heard.

Pirate: Arr, yes missy... Yah did say ya wanted to meet face to face. But ya also added ya wanted tah maul her face off. I would take her up on her offer if I was ya. She's wantin' to meet with no weapons. Please, just accept for all our sakes. I don't want tah die todee. And I daresay, she's not usually like this. She's usually very calm an professional like... Don't tell 'er I said this... But I think ya mightin' o' scared her some.

Over the loudspeaker: Twenty seconds.

Szyren puffs out her chest like she's a penguin and stands up, giving Neil his weapon back.  Strange mystery voice didn't necessarily convince her that it would be in her best interest to speak to the captain face to face, but she’s decided that it is the only option that might allow for survival and… she doesn’t want to sacrifice Neil’s ship.

Szyren: Hmph.  Neil, what you want to do is your choice… but I’m going to talk to Misses Skipper.

She kind of believes that he’ll go with her, but at the same time, she won’t make his decision for him.

Szyren: LISTEN UP! I’M COMING… but I don’t know where it is that I’m going.

She reaches out and grabs gruffy pirate voice by his scruffy pirate beard.  He’s close enough that she can see his general outline, so getting a hold of him isn’t extremely difficult.

Szyren: Take me to your leader!

RE: The Mist of Wist

Neil watches Szyren's silhouette disappear into the smoke. He stays where he is.

He crosses his arms.

But then again, the smoke's gotten about as thin as it's going to and he still can't see jack. What to do... What to do...

Oh. And if they kill Szyren, the cheeky computer would be right. Ninety five percent of his acquaintances would be dead.

He sighs, sets the guns on the floor, and walks off in the general direction in which Szyren went.

Neil: Uh, I'm coming too. Does... does anybody know where I'm going?

RE: The Mist of Wist

(I hope you guys won't mind if I jump in the reason I didn't post anymore in "The Reckoning" was because I fell terribly sick and couldn't work up the energy I'm feeling better now.)

Truth was stunned when he heard the news that Kyzer Inaka had been killed. Kai leaned back in a recliner and grabbed a smoke taking a deep puff he turned to Parson "run this by me Parson, if Inaka really is dead he has no influence except for the dillution of his gang I doubt he has a successor that's competent."

Parson replied "correct"

"and if he just sent out word that he is dead just to save his butt from me he can't too do anything too public and is forced to do petty crimes if any at all to avoid detection from me his gang is limited to it's most trusted members for fear of an information leak"

"I believe your right"

Kai begins to laugh "what about the merc. he seems like the interesting sort maybe I shall go "team" up with him and start paying some bills " he extinguishes his smoke and sets out to find Neil. "Parson this is gonig to be my homebase for now I grew fond of this place you may now go and leave as you please it was nice meeting you" Kai said.

Truth had found Neil at the spaceport and decided to follow him stealthily 'who knows "The Orange Box" could be a nuklear bomb or maybe some highclass computer software' he thought his imagination running as he followed in his M31A. During the trip some unmarked ships attacked him and heavily damaged his ship even though he destroyed them.

Truth resumes the course that he presumes Neil had took and evetually sees a huge ship. He scans it through his personnall database. The information for the MC-41B Nexus stating that it is the "Red Water" a known pirate ship and that it's captain is uknown. "Great a pirate ship I bet Neil and his buddy is on that ship. better hide my valuables I can't make an atmoshperic landing in this condition." He hid what little he had and readied the pistol that he kept on him from Perrenor. (he actually had all of his weapons and the tracking device from a willing Parson) Truth tried to request a com-link to the ship.

RE: The Mist of Wist

Officer: Ma'am, they have agreed.
Imelda: Of course they did. I didn't really give them any choice.
Officer: Orders?
Imelda: Well, we really cannot do anything until that smoke clears. Unless we tell them to grab onto the braces on the floor, and we vent the hangar. But that might kill them anyway, and I don't want to do that.
Officer: So, wait it out?
Imelda: I suppose so. Call down and see if they have any way of clearing it out.
Officer: Yes, ma'am.

Another officer walks up to Imelda's side and salutes.

Officer 2: Ma'am, another ship has just made a jump in next to us and is requesting a line.
Imelda: *Sigh* Not another one... Alright.

She walks over to an access pannel, and masks her voice with the computer again, making it sound like a very deep voiced man.

Imelda: This is the Captain of the Red Water. State your business.

She waits for a reply.
