RE: The Streets of Kepp

Please, don't underestimate Locke. He may be a human of mere flesh but his capabilities are extraordinary. Plus, hes borderline insane. Think about it. Why would he even bother getting himself into this situation if he was even partially mentally stable? And poop, we'll see what happens. If it comes to it, we fight T1 style and I'm sure something will work out. Maybe you two could even forgive him for murdering the pilot haha. Maybe I will let Locke die even. We'll see how things unravel. But if you are opposed to my entry, by all means, tell me. Hey, its guarenteed to be fun.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

Edit: (Okay, I'm just going to assume that this Locke guy is an assassin of some kind ... and very well trained assassins can take down most people. Just, be aware. There is a plot to my story here and I hadn't expected a half-insane assassin to join. Blah)

Story Continues: Unlike Terrathel, Yamada crept forward and slid along the wall being quiet as she approached the right door. After a moment, Wares gave the order to move out. Ms. Riko took a small breath and opened the nearby door slowly, revealing the hallway and lobby.

The hallways itself was not well lit at all, but the lobby had plenty of moonlight shining in from the windows above. The trails of blood did not cease here either, as they made their way into the hallway and the lobby, leaving a slumped over body laid across one of the benches - likely dead. The rest of the lobby held a few benches and potted plants, and more blood than even the hallways before them.

Yamada slowly crept forward...

- - - - - - - - - -

(Assuming Locke is in the hallway outside the main rooms.)

Locke could see the three men, but they were far from orcs. Extremely trained military personal it seemed, though for his assassin skills, as long as he was careful ... he could kill all three silently. However, just before they were able to open the door, one simply fell. The other two seemed surprised, if silent, before they two fell to the floor - limp. Suddenly, a shadow seemed to form from the door they were about to open.

To any trained assassin, this automatically spelled trouble, since to be that skilled required absolute awareness and skill. The figure that emerged might've surprised him though. It was a woman, dressed in a brown suit and had normal reading glasses on, as if she was some accountant from a bank. No blood on her hands, though she held a very peculiar sword, like a short scimitar.

Oddly, the woman began walking calmly towards the door Locke had himself positioned in before standing a safe distance from it and giving a cold, amused smile. "My, my, aren't you the curious little one," the woman called out, just loud enough for the man to hear, or so it seemed as no one of the military was alert to her presence. "I suppose I have some time to play with you."

RE: The Streets of Kepp

(Apologies about the orc thing. I thought I changed most of those references to "gunmen", I guess I forgot one. And do not worry about the plot, it is your post, I will follow it meticulously. I appreciate you allowing me to join though. I ask one thing though, try control my character as least as possible. If it is absolutely necessary to your plot however, I will gladly make an exception.)

(Assuming the WOMAN has just neutralized the other three gunmen. He is now located in an empty sector of the west wing with this woman.)

Locke smiled as his ears twitched, detecting the approaching footsteps. Apparently, the gunmen's keen senses got the best of them for walking towards that stairwell door was a death wish. It was not Locke who fulfilled this wish, but something else. For before he could act, he heard the three bodies collapse. Puzzled, he listened more carefully.

Magic.

That thought lost itself in his mind's labyrinth as he held his position against the wall beside the door. An extraneous noise filtered through his radar-like ears, and it sounded as if something had materialized some ten feet into the room. What followed was the voice of a woman.

Of course. Oh well, no magic.

With a a cynical smile, he closed his eyes for a moment and ran his hand through the sandy hue of his short cut hair. He then holstered his handgun and knife, but assured their accessability.

You want to play? Hopefully you are attractive.

His thoughts trail off before he pivots his right foot and reveals his silhouette through the moon lit doorway. She was attractive indeed and her choice of clothing intrigued him. Cocking his head slighlty to the left, he addressed her.

"Hey, there you are. I was told by the reference desk that you could show me to a certain data card that I've been seeking. Its about the sexual frustration among the people of the highly religous commune, Steverial."

His words traveled with a sail full of calm wind, their hull crafted from a wood of sarcasm. Ultimately, he projected himself as serious as possible, in his own strange way. He proceeded to offer her a friendly yet enticing smile as his eyes remain focused on hers, but vigilant of her blade glimmering in the moon's lantern. Locke Removed his crumpled carton of cigarettes from the woolen coat's pocket, and placed one casually in his mouth, allowing it to hang slightly from his lips. He then Removed a small torch from his pocket and ignited the opaque paper with the hissing fiery blade. The first gust of smoke sifted over his slightly squinted eyes. His gaze on her own once more, he exhaled a plume of smoke in her direction and held out the carton with a cigarette protruding from the rest. He spoke to her with the familiar relaxed tone of voice.

"Smoke?"

RE: The Streets of Kepp

(take turns there Locke ^-^)

Terrathel heard the order to move out, and silently pushed the door open, checking with the camera, what a bloody mess. He silently moved forward, in a hallway there isn't much chance to maneuver, so you just stay quiet and hope nothing notices you. He heard voices talking, and began moving a little quicker, using the cover of the voices to mask any (slight) noise he would make, talking could be distraction, and it wasn't Yamada's voice, either way he had to be there if at the least to stop more killing, that was the mission after all, he paused at the end of the hallway, swinging his gun to try to catch sight of Yamada and coordinate with her, he tapped the com button once to make the radio click trying to get her attention.

Yamada nodded and inched forward, looking around the room to see if it was clear. It was a figure growling lowly that caught the attention of the woman. At first, that was all it was, before an outlined figure in the moonlight peeked out from behind a bench. It's mouthed was lined with blood, slipping dripping from the corners of it's mouth and looking vaguely human-looking. Fangs peeked out from the top of it's mouth and it's shoulders were lined with what looked like bones tearing up through the skin and it's arms taking on a very long, bony, almost monstrous shape.

Slowly, it stood up and a low growl rumbled in it's stomach as he sluggishly walked around the bench, it's eyes almost locked with Yamada's own. The woman seemed frozen, but not with fear, more like as if she had seen a ghost and couldn't look away. The creature stopped and they stared at each other...

Meanwhile, the woman gave Locke a sort of amused smirk, narrowing her eyes for a moment and bringing her small sword to bear slowly. "Cute, but I wonder how you play." The woman seemed entirely more sane than the assassin did, and yet something in her stance and her form spoke of something... unnatural. She took a few steps forward with the same amused, dark smirk painted across her face, watching Locke like an eagle that was playing with it's pray.

Like a well played orchestra, everything started in sync.

The beast staring at Yamada launched it's attacked, and despite it's earlier sluggishness, it was surprisingly fast as it swung out it's massive arms towards Ms. Riko. Though she had come back to reality just in enough time to miss the attack by a mere inch, the strange monster took another step and begun to swing it's other arm.

In the background, one could hear the screaming of men, dying. Likely due to the strange creatures in the other rooms as well, and it was unlikely normal men - even military trained - could withstand such a supernatural attack and survive.

The mysterious woman with Locke gave him an evil smile just as the screams started. "Oh... mmm ... my babies were disturbed. I should probably make this quick." With little warning, something about the light around the woman seemed to distort, making it hard to even follow her slow steps forward. Before the man knew it, she was swinging her scimitar in his face, though assuming he was aware he could dodge it with a good measure of safe distance before reacting.

Terrathel edged forward as yamada did, however the creature spotted her first, he moved slowly trying not to attract attention and drew his knife, as he didn't know what it would do, then it jumped at Yamada and he mentally cursed.

The first swing was dodged (some bodyguard he was...) and it stepped up for a second swing as he fired several shots at it, making sure they would clear Yamada, so they weren't too likely to kill, just injure or distract unless it jumped into them with the surprise  and with his left hand threw the knife in between it and her, (more on its side) so that if it dodged, (or lunged) forward the knife would connect, and if it didn't he would very much establish his presence as a threat, and allow her an attack by drawing its attention to him.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

As the twisted shrieks pierced the still air around the room, Locke lowered his cigarettes and shrugged towards the woman. Although seemingly oblivious, he was well aware of the intent that laced her expression. The dark aura emitting from this woman made it quite apparent that she was indeed the one responsible for the murders on the ninth floor. He could only speculate as to what exactly these slayings were, but the monstrous bellows spilling from the various rooms provided some indication that these beings were not human.

Again, you want to play. I'd love to...

His thoughts dissipated into the darkness of his mind as he continued to pay close attention to her body language. He did not move when she initiated an approach towards him, but rather vigilantly peered into her eyes. As she took her second step, the woman's image appeared to faze slightly, like a hologram receiving a poor signal from its projector. He allowed his cigarette to fall from his lips as he anticipated a forthcoming strike from the woman. With grace much like that of flowing water, he ripped his dagger from its sheath, flicked up his right wrist to his face, and stepped tenaciously towards her looming attack. As he backhanded his dagger upwards, the blade sliced the cigarette in mid flight and let it fall to the tile in halves. Her scimitar kissed his own blade as it shrieked down its sharpened length. His arm cradled her momentum and along with the carbon fiber hilt of the dagger, he succeeded in wedging her attack. However, her blade managed to cut an inch long crevice below the ridge of his left cheek before he could completely cushion her assault. Their bodies were now intertwined, for his aggressive step forward met her oncoming attack and forced their faces to a distance of a mere inch from each other. In fact, clouded moisture could be seen forming on the lenses of her glasses as a result of his breathing. The only obstacle that separated their faces was her scimitar which lay horizontally across the upturned hilt of his knife just under their chins. He glared into her eyes confidently; his lips taking on a sinister curl. He was sure to place his left foot behind her right leg as he stepped, effectively positioning himself to sweep her footing at his discretion. However, he did not know the full capabilities of this woman and the fact that she phased into the moonlight before his very eyes and succeeded in wounding him hinted at her capabilities. He lurched forward delicately, pushing further against her body, and let the wandering ghoul left in his lungs sift from his mouth.

"You know, you have beautiful eyes." He then places the gentlest kiss upon her left cheek and is sure to shut his eyes. A droplet of his blood grapples to her face and slowly retreats down her cheeks. He readies his left hand at his waist in the event that she attempts strike at his abdominal sector whilst locked up. Despite the cracks of gunfire now howling through the corridors, his expression remains uniform: calm and confident complimented with the slightest smirk.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

The beast in the lobby cried out as it was shot, but it was unlikely such simple methods would really halt the monstrous beings, though it did stop it from attack and growled at Terrathel with murderous intent. It stepped forward again and started to swing it's massive arm towards the bio shell before Yamada caught the opening.

Sling! Half of it's arm fell on the floor as mystical blue liquid poured from the gaping wound like blood. It howled loudly, an almost piercing sound that made Yamada back away and cover her ears before it stopped. Without warning or hesitation, the once massive monster seemed to literally meld into the shadows and it was gone... leaving an unarmed Yamada and Terrathel - thankfully.

The woman locked into battle with Locke frowns slightly at the kiss and sighs. "Humans are fascinating, but they're just ants in the end." The woman was obviously holding back before as she suddenly pushes Locke against the wall with gripping force, making a good five feet distance between them. Weather Locke could actually avoid injury or not didn't seem to interest her, in fact, her outfit barely even seem wrinkled at all. Wares came spinning around the corner finally just as one of the beasts piercing screams even came this far, forcing the military leader to cover his ears as well and Locke as well - unless he had protection or wished to hear ringing for the next hour.

The woman looked southwards and sighed, shaking her head. "Aw, seems like play time is over. Oh well. She's much more important than you anyways... ta-ta." The woman seems to meld into the shadows, leaving naught a trace, as if she was never there.

Meanwhile, just as Yamada and Terrathel catch their breath, the same woman appears a safe, non-threatening distance from the both of them, giving them a mocking smile. "Nothing less from a hybrid ... you've interested the master quite a bit, my dear. We'll have to set up an appointment some day, hm?"

Terrathel blinks at the vanishing creature magic... I don't know anything about magic, how do I fight it? he moved to retrieve his knife when the woman appeared, and he performs a sharp pivot, and crouches, left hand on the katana hilt, the gun ponted straight at the woman. since the knife flew past Yamada he was almost directly between her and the woman.

He wished they'd given him an energy weapon as he was sure those were more effective against magic. He'd have to aquire one of those swords if he could convince the people on the base. He had much to talk about, it's a good thing they're paying him so well.

That is of course if I survive this mess. Briefly flashed through his mind. Then his face sharpens, he'd been too soft lately, exhaling slowly he takes that feral hunter appearance again, and all unnecessary thoughts vanish.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

Hmph

He thought as he allowed himself to be thrust backward. Her arm was like a hydraulic piston, and now it was apparent that this woman, or creature, definitely wasn't human. However, Locke showed no upheaval as he collected himself with ease upon impact with the wall. He merely offered her a cheshire grin. A shrill then bounded from the adjacent room and his hands were forced to barrier his ears. The massive window panes which lined the walls failed to resist the high pitches and crystal spider webs spun expression into the glass faces. Through the barrage of wailing, the grin never ceased to reign on Locke's  face.

With her words, his eye brows raised and converged, expressing a baneful thought flow. More so, his lids further revealed his hallow field hued eyes, and a rather maniacal portrait took form. He observed as she materialized out of site, failing not to take not of her backside. When all that remained was dense shadow, he faced distorted with chafe, as if he was disappointed with her departure. His eyes then scanned the tile with blankness, as if contemplating something.

Locke appeared to make a decision and propelled himself from the synthetic composite wall with a roll of his spine. Peering in the direction of the terrible howls, he raised an eyebrow to himself. The blood which trickled from his wound resembled a mountainscape oil painting turned upside down. For no reason in particular, something peculiar changed about Locke. His facial etching lost all expression. Following a moment thereafter, his face sculpted into one of linear modesty. He did not necessarily appear angry, in fact he looked emotionless, but his overall aura portrayed a troubled and twisted soul.

Locke then began to stride without haste towards the door which concealed the slaying chaos. As he walked, he swiftly drew his magnum from its holster and held its muzzle to with a straight arm. He walked without brisk, but his arms swung with a slight pendulum action which depicted intent. Arriving at the door, he listened carefully; his eyes failing to blink and gazing into a non-existent abyss.
