RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras

Tucker decides it's probably better not to respond to that at all, since Star seems to be a little... ornary.

Tucker: This one should be done in a little bit... You don't actually have to be here while I'm working on it, since Chel has all the programs copied.  If you want, you can look around...?

He isn't trying to kick her out, but it's probably boring for her to be standing around and she sounds like she could use a walk or... something.

--

Speaking of walking, Balinor and William are enjoying a stroll through first floor of the mall.  They aren't looking for anything in particular, they're just talking.  And for the first time today, not about anything that's happening around them.

William: Personally, I've always liked jazz.  There's something very classic about it.
Balinor: Smooth jazz.
William: Right.

Balinor smiles, a real smile.  William has missed those.

William: So what kind of music do you like?
Balinor: Anything.
William: Anything?
Balinor: Yes.
William: Actually anything?
Balinor: Yes! Is that difficult to understand?
William: Well, I don't know.  Do you have a favorite?
Balinor: Not really.
William: Everyone has a favorite.
Balinor: Everyone?
William: Of course.  So what's yours?
Balinor: I guess... Jazz.
William: Smooth jazz?
Balinor: Yeah.

She smiles again.  It's endearing.

Star looks over and slides her arms down before saying, "all right... let me know when you're finished then.."

She quietly exits the room, leaving a sense she was feeling a certian way, but it was likely hard to even tell what it was. Not to mention the fact that an android could even produce an emotional aura of any sort, seeing as A.I.s usually had more-or-less mock emotions, developed to better communicate with the living.

A bit after she had left, Tucker - or more likely Chel - would notice something odd about the copied S.K.E. system files. Were he to check, he'd see a lot of the changing numbers apparently reverting back to zero and staying there, eventually filling the entire page of code with just zeros.

Star quietly walks through the mall, not looking at anything in specific when she hears Balinor's and William's voices. She silently makes her way to a balcony overlooking them and likely with their chatting they wouldn't of noticed the quiet clicking of Star's feet. She doesn't even attempt to bother them though, but instead leans over a little and simply seems to listen to their conversaion while watching them.

Tucker watches Star leave and shakes his head.

Tucker: Was she being moody, or is that just my impression?
Chel: Andriods do not have emotions.

Tucker looks up at the monitor and sighs heavily.  There was only a small, rational part of him that believed that, that actually thought of Star as an andriod.

Tucker: How far are we with this program?
Chel: 68% complete.
Tucker: Great.  What time is it?
Chel: 5:43 PM.

Chel never used military time.  The people in the complex were simple... had been simple.  Balinor had brought her military training with her.  Tucker had gotten used to military time, so it actually took him some thought to figure out that 4:43 pm was really 1743 hours.  It was confusing.

Tucker: That late already?  I haven't eaten since morning.
Chel: Would you like me to order something for you?
Tucker: Umm... yeah.
Chel: What would you like?
Tucker: A turkey sandwich.

He laughs.  There isn't anyone in the kitchen to make him a turkery sandwich.  There isn't anyone anywhere.

Tucker: Chel, look at the other systems and see if they... mention some kind of... battery or cell or something.  I'll go pick up that turkey sandwich.
Chel: Affirmative.

Tucker dukes outside to go makes himself a can of soup.  They haven't had turkey in a very long time.

--

William: You know, I have a confession to make.

Balinor looks at him with limited expectations, though her curiousity is clear.

William: I...

Hesitation.

William: I'm actually really hungry.

Balinor sighs.

Balinor: Oh.  Then we'll go eat.

She doesn't know what she thought he would say, but that wasn't it.

RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras

Star shifted a bit as she watched the two, crossing her arms over the railing and laying her chin on them silently. If they left she wouldn't have even bothered to move, though whether they stayed or not didn't stop her from curiously wondering about Tucker.

What she did wonder? Nothing specific, just.. wondered in general for no real reason. It's then she decided to take a look at her own programs, but more noticeably the S.K.E. system files. What she saw was entirely different.

While the codes was consistantly changing like before, a couple more lines now followed the same pattern as the others and displayed symbols that really didn't relate to anything in the human language, as if they were just small drawings of some sort.

She stood there, simply looking the program over for the next hour or so unless someone interrupted her. In reality, it was her A.I. program trying to grasp that the fact it even 'felt' anything, or how, or why ... or even if her A.I. was even considered an A.I. anymore. Things that most humans tended to ask themselves in the long run. 'Who am I?'
