They were all 3D models rendered to sprites. They probably would have been more readable if they were hand drawn. Ever tried to figure out what part of a Zealot is what?

They were still renderings of 3D models; however, they were so small and their colors were reduced to ridiculously low numbers. But you want cartoony? Here's cartoony.

I don't mean to be negative about everything.  In my opinion, Blizzard has never made a disappointing game and is one of the world's premier developers.  I'm just not super impressed with the pre-release stuff we've been seeing.  With high quality come high expectations! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The M107 Anti-Materiel Rifle.
