The Pernica RXN-3 Thunderbird is a fast one-man personal transport or light recon ship capable of holding its own in a one-on-one dogfight. Because of its speed and maneuverability, an experienced pilot could be a difficult target to keep track of for anything more than another light fighter. Its hyperdrive is small, allowing space for the built-in recon equipment, and only for quick jumps to safety.

The RXN-3 is equipped with highly tuned subspace receivers capable of receiving a subspace transmission on the opposite side of a stellar system, often used by civilians to watch television while traveling, and Pernica offers a recon package which includes scanning equipment and cameras built into various points in the hull.
