The screen came into view once more, this time being a typical, calm forest with a stream no more than ten feet away from the android. She was sitting on the ground with her back against the tree and a damaged hand. However, despite the damaged hand, the rest of her seemed to be just fine - in fact, it seemed to be in perfected condition - unlike how she remembered it. The memory she had taken in was her walking from the mall to sit down and shut down for a little.

With her being here though, was a complete mystery. Then suddenly without warning, a shriek, a scream of sorts echoed through her ears, her eyes, her senses. It was everywhere and yet concentrated on her hand, yelling at her to fix it, repair it, to heal it. Normally, she would've checked her systems for these things. But this was different. It flooded any of her thoughts for a while until it slowly dulled itself and she could think again. Strangely, it let her know what was wrong, if in an ineffective way. She used her other hand to push herself up and take a look at the peaceful forest.

It seemed like the opposite of the mining colonies she crashed near, being shut down due to a disease and so many people dying and fear filling the air. Here it was calm and relaxed and teeming with life of birds and animals. She took a few moments to take it in before accessing her last memories to make sure there was nothing else and then to curiously try to access the new systems that had - seemingly - relieved themselves randomly. There were few clues, sadly, only pointing to the fact someone had fix quite a bit of her code and then stopped in the middle of the last one they were working with. The cloaking systems.

The particle shield and beam apparently needed another energy cell which she didn't have access too, and refused to tell her their functioning in basic. Instead, it seemed all coded in a language she couldn't understand, which seemed odd.

Her thoughts wondered once she knew it was another dead end for now. Mostly to where she was ... how she got here ... and what had happened to Balinor ... and Tucker.

Questions

She shook her head after a long, long pause of thinking and began walking through the peaceful forest. The birds continued to chirp, the deer continued to eat and prance about, and a few squirrels seemed to be following her curiously. It was strange all of a sudden as she began to walk through the forest and look around. It was as if she could 'feel' the teeming life around her, hear them in an unexplainable sense, and could tell they were ... watching her, expectantly.

She stopped slowly and wondered why they were watching her. What they were waiting for. She hadn't a clue in the world, since all she knew was that most animals shyed away from humans ... though, it wasn't like she was human. What she was, was .. well, she didn't quite know anymore. Most would see her as an android, but something inside her told her that it was something more and the simple fact that she was even asking such questions pointed to the same conclusion.

She shook her head a bit and looked around again, wondering what way she should head to find a town and if they'd even expect some random android even coming in. Eventually, as timed past, she found her way into one of the town's and took caution approaching it ...

(OOC: Stasis, you don't mind 'DMing' again, do you? At least until this place picks up or something and someone else can join? Thanks.)

RE: Questions

A noise came from the town. Difficult to describe... Almost like a very large bee.

STAR would probably recognize it as a motor. It became obvious when a man on a dirtbike came skidding around a corner, gunning the engine, and riding out of town, toward STAR.

The lynch mob was not far behind. Some even carried torches to complete the effect.

The man wasn't paying too much attention to where he was going, rather looking over his shoulder at the townsfolk, so it was too late when he realized he was about to run into STAR.

He swung it hard right, and obviously losing control. He leapt from the seat of the bike, and it became immediately apparent that he was no human, as his twelve-foot wingspan sprouted and flapped mightily, allowing him to hit the ground without breaking anything, though some bruises might be in order, as he still hit pretty hard and rolled across the dirt.

He was short for a demon, and slender. He was wearing black clothing, with a punk or almost goth look, and a large black tattoo up the left side of his pale face.

He looked at STAR, then back at the mob, then back at STAR.

Demon: You look weird.

He paused.

Demon: That means you should run too.

He saw his mangled bike crashed into a tree. He ran.

RE: Questions

STAR stopped slowly as the demon on a bike came towards her and skidded it into a tree. She watched curiously, not understanding what the huge rush was at first - maybe a race? Though when he looked at her and back at the mob, she began to feel something wasn't right. The demon's words only confirmed this before he dashed before STAR could attempt to get a reply in.

STAR slumped her shoulders slightly as she was still getting used to even 'feeling' at all, obviously feeling a bit down about the situation. She knew ... something was here. She felt it. It was hard to describe, but at the moment, it didn't matter all that much. She had to decide if she should stay and try and talk things out or leave, like the demon had suggested.

For now she decides to try and hide out of sight, and hoping she was quick enough, she darted to the tree with a mangled bike. She bent down and jumped up, grabbing a branch and after waiting for the branch to adjust itself a little, she pulled herself up and tried to hide in with the leaves. At that moment where she found the best place, she stood completely still and hoped that her doing so combined with being so high behind things, no one would notice.
