Jehuty the Intergallactic Nomad

Stamp of Character Approval Character Name: Jehuty (JEH-oo-tee)

Age: Amnesia prevents him from knowing himself, but from the looks of him, he's in his mid thirties.

Gender: Male

Species: Human with cybernetic modifications of unknown origin.

Description: Jehuty is far enough up the 5' 11" mark to call himself six feet tall.
He weighs roughly 168 pounds with the extraordinarily light metal and electronic implants only accounting for 20 of those pounds.
He appears to be of caucasian heritage.
His eyes are hazel and his hair is dark brown.  When he neglects to shave, red stubble appears around his chin.
Jehuty knows little about his past and is on an endless quest of self-discovery.  Among his few hints are his unique skills and a half moon shaped scar on his skull that he hides behind a ponytail.
Because of his amnesia, Jehuty is often quiet and appears to be a brooding, unapproachable person.  In reality, he is compassionate and caring and will stop at nothing to help those with whom he is close.  Jehuty considers himself an intellectual, but lacking a discernible past himself, he is often frustrated by his own shallow knowledge.
Jehuty dresses in drab browns and blacks and tends to oversize his wardrobe to mask his lack of muscular bulk.  He prefers steel toed boots and running shoes and more often than not he can be seen in a trench coat over black BDUs.

History:
Jehuty himself knows very little about his childhood, upbringing, and origin.  It's been 8 years since he began keeping track and began searching for answers.  His purpose in that time has been to discover his own past and he has made little progress.  Among the clues he's gathered are his aptitude in swordplay, described by a bystander as a variation of the ancient French fencing discipline of épée, a knack for Parkour and martial arts, and an unnatural exuberance when piloting anything.

Jehuty began his search for answers in Daireem after becoming upset with his lack of results and setting his Ni-Honda Dynasty S20,000 for a random extragalactic jump.  That was five years ago and Jehuty has slowly been adapting to his new surroundings.  He has found it easiest to fuel his quest for knowledge with the rewards from bounty hunting assignments but his strong sense of morality often limits which jobs he can conscientiously accept.  He feels he is finally making tangible progress on his personal mission, as a year ago he discovered a logo identical to the one on his personalized sidearm on the jacket sleeve of a Blick mercenary just before it was destroyed in its own explosion.  Jehuty has been tracing every possible detail of that particular mission since that incident in the hope that more information will surface.

{What Jehuty doesn't know is that 8 years ago a freak accident somewhere in the Milky Way galaxy involving a freighter affected by the EM shockwave from a solar flare and a luxury shuttle headed for a planetary resort caused him, the shuttle's pilot - along with the passengers - to become momentarily deatomized.  The shuttle occupants' restabilization occurred at a heavy price: physical and intellectual portions of the onboard service android, the Chop Suey movie star, his body guard, and the stewardess among others found a new home within Jehuty, who regained consciousness in the freighter's cargo hold after the explosion from the out-of-control freighter's engines demolished nearly all remnants of the event.}

Item(s):
In Jehuty's arsenal are:
-An MSAR STG-556 with several 42-round magazines.  This variant is complete with tactical 3-point sling and a green-dot scope with synchronized tactical laser. -1500T
-An FN Five-seveN with several 20-round magazines.  Nothing extraordinary about this pistol besides a small marking on the rear of the receiver that appears to be the letters "K-L-N" in unconnected slashes. -800T
-A single magazine containing 3 .50 BMG rounds.  This magazine bears an insignia identical to that on the pistol above.
-A Ka Bar 1245 Tactical Knife -75T
-A Worn Black BDU suit
-A Molle Armored Tactical Vest with the Works
-Useless 23rd-Century Earth Motorcycle Helmet
-Ratty Black Trench Coat
-Outdated Computer
-Sketchbook / Journal

Ship/Vehicle:
Ship Name: Wasp

The Ni-Honda Dynasty S20,000, or "SXXK" is the latest in a long line of performance, low-capacity vehicles.  It is fast and maneuverable but does not come stock with any weapons, armor, or hyperdrive.  It is intended for near-planet operation and is often souped up by space racers.  Jehuty purchased Wasp from a retiring bounty hunter who had lovingly painted it but had refused to part with the weapons pods that had gotten him so far.

Before I approve you, I need some details on the cybernetics; what parts are cybernetic and what are their current capabilities?

I also want to note that while it's fine that he originally came from the Sol system, he can't go back because of sheer distance and the fact that practically nobody in Daireem even knows it exists. Smile

RE: Jehuty the Intergallactic Nomad

No mechanical or electronic components are physically visible on Jehuty's body.  Since there is no knowledge - scientific or otherwise - of the unique phenomenon that caused his bionic state, its exact nature can't be classified but if he were to be scanned, electronic/mechanical elements would be found to exist within him at a molecular level, almost like nanorobotics.  So far (at his low level) Jehuty manifests the capabilities only during adrenaline-demanding situations much like the powers of a pubescent Marvel mutant.  If he were to speculate on the evidence, Jehuty would surmise that the bionic elements react to extreme stimuli by rushing to the necessary area and modifying, at a molecular level, to enhance performance.  I propose that at his current level the cybernetics multiply his weapon accuracy, strength, and 6th sense by 1.5 of those of an average human.  So he's not like a super machine or a highly-trained operative but he finds that he can sometimes snap onto targets with robot-like precision and would definitely out shoot a "normal" human.  In a pinch he can jump higher and run farther and can lift one and a half times what he would be able to without the cybernetics.  He has something of a "spidey sense" for imminent-danger situations and you might say he has heightened perception but he usually can't pinpoint the cause of these feelings immediately.  None of this necessarily says much when he is compared to many characters in Daireem who are already experienced in military operations.

As for the location bit, let's say that during the time that he traveled the vast distance between Sol and Daireem, he was in a cognitive stage that prevented him from being concerned with his route, past, present, or future and so doesn't remember the journey or any 3-dimensional coordinate information.  Even if he wanted to go back, Jehuty has no means to do so because he no longer has the vehicle he traveled in, or the record of the path that got him where he is now.  He also conveniently has no memory of any aspect of his home system as a side-effect of the incident that began his journey - I'd like to edit my original post to reflect that, while he is from Sol, it is elsewhere in the Milky Way galaxy that the accident occurred.

:: Jehuty's Year 9 - Entry 1
:: Local Year 4227 "IC"
:: Daireem Galaxy > Charlu System

Eight Years.  Seems almost yesterday that I woke up in that capsule with no knowledge of my past.  I'm finally on a tangible track toward discovering the details of my origin thanks to that run-in with that nasty Blick mercenary while trying to apprehend Kaleeb Jacob.  Backtracking his mercenary band's ion trail has led me here and now I just need the patience for a full search of this system.  What could these marks on my equipment mean?  Why do I have these certain skills but remember nothing of acquiring them?  What larger scheme was I manufactured or destined for?

After a shuttle retrieved me from what they called "wreckage", I got hired onto their crew out of pity but I became restless.  I needed answers so I wandered aimlessly for nearly two years before I found a niche in the mercenary trade.  Of course if you've read this journal from the cover, you already know the details and you're skimming this paragraph to get on to the action so I digress.

What do I know thus far?  Almost nothing.  I have strange senses and abilities that somehow feel electronic but I'm only beginning to learn how to use them; mastery isn't even a speck on the horizon.  Several pieces of the equipment that was with me 8 years ago are stamped with a logo I tracked to this system.  But the trail goes cold...  I followed an orange and green merc ship that's probably planetside in hibernation by now.  Hm.

:: Jehuty's Year 9 - Entry 1.5 (Addendum)
:: Local Year 4227 "IC"
:: Daireem Galaxy > Charlu System > Planet Menos - Low Orbit

Because of a lack of leads, and with 5 planets to choose from, I've chosen a rather unorthodox process of elimination.  Scanning radio traffic, I've decided to land first on the one exhibiting the highest level of abnormal priority communication.  Reading the description of this planet from my navigation computer's databanks, I feel that I may have a stroke of luck for once.  This is the suspected hideout world of the majority of Daireem's most wanted criminals.
