RE: The Streets of Kepp

As the crafts landed, the men started filing out and parts of other teams starting taking the dead or nearly dead to the hospital wing. Just as Yamada and Terrathel got off after Wares - leaving the commander going back to his own duties - Warulia seemed to appear out of nowhere with a causal smile and the same white suit of his.

"Ah, welcome back Ms. Riko, Terrathel, how did the mission go?" he asked with noticeable interest as he folded his hand behind his back politely. In the background, one could see Mary approaching as well, though seeming to slow down some as she spotted the white-dressed man.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

Terrathel eyed the man, still in 'innocence' of course the words he said made the posture seem odd, "Those... things, used magic, and they appear to have an interest in her. The soldiers took pretty heavy damage, and all we got in return was the building and half an arm."

with the speech his posture switched from 'innocence' to 'alpha,' a posture of confidence and strength (not overconfidence mind you). "We were very unprepared for that kind of opponent, if you have been teaching her anything about ways to counter magic users, you need a new teacher, if you aren't, you need one. I'll need to take them as well of course."

He had plenty more he wanted to request, but it was still technically his first day...

"Magic? What things?" he asks with a surprised look on his face and an odd look in his eyes. "I don't know anything about magic... no one here does. Hm. That's certainly a twist, and you say ... whatever you encountered has an interest in her?"

Mary slows down and approaches with seemingly caution aimed towards the white dressed man before giving Yamada a warm smile and putting an arm around her shoulders as the two men conversed.

He maintained 'alpha' and didn't twitch anywhere but mentally at the odd look in the man's eye, he had hoped not to see that, but still expected it, likely the man had hoped he would have died protecting Yamada, who's first name he refused to say in front of Warulia as it might give the man a hint of his loyalties.

"Yes, after the first one vanished, missing half an arm, but no guarantee it's dead.... a second one that looked more human appeared out of combat range and spoke of needing to 'schedule an appointment' with her, then she too vanished."

He didn't let on to his suspicions, or observations, like how they KNEW they would be on the 9th floor, simply gave an objective report based on the questions asked. He was pretending to be clinging more to his old Bio Shell programming than he actually was, any little surprise could be an advantage later. Mentally his mind was focusing down on the man like in a chess match or a fight, a fight expected to last a long while.

"Disappeared? Hm, this is most unusual. There's something more to this than meets the eye, then," he states as he nods a little. "We should probably go see the general about this and let him know the break-ins weren't just simpletons, hm?" He gave a polite smile and stepped aside for a moment before leading the four towards the general, apparently unconcerned that Mary had been following Yamada close by.

Everyone seemed a little settled down in general around the busy, though they were busy enough to give the feeling they just came back from a mission.

Warulia and the group came upon a secluded door on the first floor finally and Warulia opened the door slowly for the other, showing a fancy room with a big chair, facing out towards the window.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

his only response to Warulia's blatantly obvious commentary was "That would probably be for the best." Warulia either didn't care what he thought, or was seriously underestimating his critical thought functions.

Once Warulia's back was turned he gave it a questioning look for Yamada's benefit, then smiled and nodded to Mary. see, I got her home safe.

still in 'alpha' he strode confidently down the corridors, the only hint of his wariness was the fact that his eyes would flicker around every corner, and quickly examine anything that could be interesting. He wished they could have turned in the gear beforehand, he was tired of having the little machine gun at his hip, but the camera was off, and the headband receiver tucked carefully in a pocket.

His attention focused again when the door was opened, as guard it was his duty to go in first, he stepped in, then sidestepped to allow the others, one hand drifted to his knife, he didn't expect trouble, is was just habit.

Mary smiled back to the bio shell with a friendly expression before smiling to Yamada and following her with her own arms hooked around Yamada's left one.

The general turned around in his chair with a questioning look. "Yes?" As they all filed in, Warulia gave Terrathel a motioning gesture, apparently so he could explain the situation to the general himself. Yamada and Mary stood off the side a bit, quietly listening.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

He dug through his memories trying to figure out how to address, and report to a general in the military. However after he had pieced it half together he rejected the notion, it might be considered patronizing, and he still had no intention of showing Warulia that he had his own initiative. Instead he went with Bio Shell standard, Assuming a neutral stance.

"General, the orders were to confront the people causing chaos in the building, however, of the two I saw only one resembled the standard definition of a 'person.' And they were magic users, one vanished after 'Ms. Riko' took off half its arm, the more human looking one appeared just after and expressed interest in 'Ms. Riko' to be carried out at a later date. Our unit took heavy losses to other presumably similar creatures. It is my observation" he struggled to resist saying opinion "that since none of the personnel here are trained in tactics to counter magic users, at the very least 'Ms. Riko' and I are going to need such training."

He tried not to put his distaste into using her formal name, it seemed so wrong, but a slight emphasis that could have meant a great deal of things depending on the listener manged to slip out.

The general, who had yet to be named at this point, folded his hands in his lap in a disciplined manner. His eyes confidently locked onto the bio shell and nodded once he had given the report. He looks to Warulia, "contact any local mages you know of and get information on what sort of spells these could be - if it's indeed magic. Make sure the arm that was brought make is examined as well."

Warulia nods and leaves the room without hesitation and the general faces the two again. "You two go ahead with Mary and let her examine you ... after putting your equipment back into storage. Dismissed." With that Mary and Yamada nodded and left rather quickly, since it seemed to be routine to leave once dismissed. Mary hugged Yamada tightly as they got out and smiled, both of them starting to walk back outside.

RE: The Streets of Kepp

Terrathel  ran a debate on stance until he smiled somewhat, and slipped into 'innocence' and the 'obedient' Bio Shell, with just a hint of a smile on his lips followed a few steps behind the girls, giving Yamada some time with her friend.  When they reached the armory he passed in the gun and equipment and took back his satyr sighing contentedly once it was slung properly on his back. He hadn't realized how much he liked that gun.

His smile grows slightly at the thought sentimental attachment. Three quarters of my masters would have shivered at the thought of a Bio Shell displaying that...

He assumed the medical area was next, but as he was following the girls he let them lead.
