Having Trouble

I can't seem to successfully host my characters image. I'm using photobucket and [IMG] tags. Its still posting as the actual url. Any suggestions?

Hey there!

That's because there aren't [img] tags. Smile We don't have BB code—you have to use HTML:

<img src="URL here">

I went ahead and edited your post so the image works. Smile

Ahhh I see. Thank you for that though. Am I approved? I've been dying to start role playing again.

I was just looking over your profile and trying to determine if I'm going to let you get away with not posting your history. Wink

I think I am, so yes, you're approved.

RE: Having Trouble

Haha very nice, I appreciate you allowing me to be mysterious. But hey, one more question concerning items; weapons to be exact. Could I perhaps buy a rifle in the shop and in my signature, substitute a similar rifle that you don't have for sale? For example, I could buy the longer Bushmaster you have for sale(m16) and replace it with a similar calibur gun that I really like, its predecessor actually, the m14. So I would just indicate this substitution in my signature and use the m14 in roleplays. Only reason I'm suggesting this is because I'm a needy booger and need my cool guns. This is the m14 I'm talking about:

[Link removed]  (Actually an m14 scope, called m21)

Also, the gun you have titled as, "AMP Technical Services DSR No. 1" I assume is actually the, "Walther WA 2000"?

[Link removed]

Cause I really want that gun too haha. Thanks man, let me know.

RE: Having Trouble

Dude.

Come on.

I know what an M14 is. Wink And there's no substitution required—I'll just add the thing. I can't believe I overlooked it anyway. Laughing

And no, the DSR-1 is the DSR-1. Every real firearm on here goes by its real name. Smile

[Link removed]

Oh, it turns out they go by DSR Precision nowadays, not AMP Technical Services.

EDIT: Do you want an actual select-fire M14, or shall we go with the Springfield Armory M1A? (Of course, we can say that in Daireem, the M1A comes in a select-fire model. That's the beauty of it, isn't it?) Or do you want an M21?

Or go a little more "modern" (and disfigured) with the SOCOM? Wink

RE: Having Trouble

All right, flexibility, good stuff. The only reason I want that Walther is because its real small and convenient with the bullpup and my character is going to be traveling on a bike most of the time. But yeah, if you can't work that one in as well, I'll work with the m14 cause' its just as cool. I'm going to start posting tonight though, got to go drink some first haha. Catch you later.

EDIT: personally, I love the m21. But hey, its your site man, you decide, the M1A has equal owning power anyways(for NPCs of course).

RE: Having Trouble

Well, the price of guns, despite not being in "dollars," is usually almost the same as the price of guns in the real world in dollars.

I'd have to look it up, but I think you're looking at more than $3000 for the WA2000—more than you start with here. So I think that's out of the question. (I will add it, though, so I'll find out then how much it needs to be.)

I'm probably going to add all of them anyway. Laughing

EDIT: The first page I found on the matter says they were around $9000 when they were first produced, so yes... out of the question. Sad

RE: Having Trouble

Hahaa ok. Yeah, according to that world guns site(best site ever) there were only about 176 ever made. So that explains it. Some day my friend, some day. I like that monetary system though.

RE: Having Trouble

Now look what you've done! I looked at the items page and I really don't like how every "long arm" is on one page... so now I feel a need to make different pages for submachine guns and sniper rifles.

And it's all your fault, because I wouldn't have otherwise looked at that page! Wink

But until I get everything added, here's a price list.

(For whatever reason, the M21 is ridiculously priced; MSRP is ~$2200, and I can't even find one for sale that cheap. I'm going to cut a break because I think that's ridiculous and make it 2000.)

M1A - Tape1300
M21 - Tape2000
SOCOM 16 - Tape1500
SOCOM II - Tape1600
Walther WA2000 - Tape9000

Yes, Springfield asks way too much for their guns... but not as much as Walther. XD
