Perhaps the best NES game ever.

It would be, if it actually existed.

YouTube video

Seriously though, watch it, it's great.

Holy slag. Wide Eyes

I'm surprised somebody hasn't actually made the Megaman (or Megamad) segment yet. That's some I Wanna Be The Guy type stuff.

sad thing is... I recognized most of those games... I've always been a little out of date with my consoles.... I had an original nintendo from the time super nintendo was popular to about when the PS2 came out which is when I got a PS1, needless to say, I'm mostly a computer gamer.... what little I do of that lately.... man, I've gotten boring

I think mostly everything in there was iconic... At least if you game. Smile
The first consol I ever owned was an xbox, but I knew what pretty much all those characters were.

I am also a computer gamer, who hardly games. (sigh)... I need to change that.

I've been gaming since NES onward.  I've owned every mainstream system at one point in time, and I've had a few B-list systems as well.  I never did quite get into computer gaming though, I mean, the last PC game I played was Unreal Tournament.  PC games were never as fun for me.

ha ha, I own 2 ps2 games, and don't own a ps2 yet, because I borrowed my friend's, or used my bro in laws when I was staying with them, Disgaea, an underprinted but remarkably popular game. And Psi Ops, because I like slamming people into walls, then shooting their friend and launching the randomly placed explosive barrel into their reinforcements. ^-^ yes my favorite was telekinesis, but that doesn't mean I neglected the other abilities

I've still got my NES and SNES on my game cabinet and I still play on them every now and then. It's too bad the old NES Zapper doesn't work on LCD screens. Duck Hunt is awesome. (Except that stupid dog.)

By the time I was old enough to understand games, the SNES was in its prime, so I never really got into the NES too much.

Like Gunner, I've owned every mainstream system from the NES onward, barring Sega. My family had a Genesis but traded it for an SNES when I was too young to even remember it. The only other Sega console we or I have had is the Dreamcast, which is also still on my game cabinet.

The first game I remember playing, probably when I was three years old, was Alien vs Predator on the Super Nintendo. Laughing

Holy smokes that was so awesome that it blew my mind.

Whatever happened to beat-em-up games anyway?  Are there any cooperative-play kung-fu games on the modern systems?

The Dead or Alive series. At one point in time (and maybe still), it was Wolf's favorite game, I think. I was starting to get into it a little bit... but it was never really my thing.

Of course, Mortal Combat is still around too. The current game is "Mortal Combat vs. DC Universe" or something like that.
