Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Alex, holding a brown, cardboard box, knocks on a door. It's a fairly nice house in a fairly nice neighborhood, he observes. The garden isn't doing so well. Looks like the house was freshly painted.

A broad man, wearing a nice button-up shirt and slacks, opens the door and sees Alex's FedUP uniform.

Man: I'm not expecting a package--

Alex slashes the man's throat with his Delica.

Alex: I know.

A shame what happened to that nice shirt. Alex pushes through the doorway, stepping on the unconscious, about-dead man as he enters. He pockets his Delica and draws a Glock 23, watching the living room through a doorway just ahead. He can hear the TV. A lanky man, smaller than the guy that answered the door, is sitting in a recliner, turned slightly in the direction of the doorway. He looks up and sees Alex. Before Alex can get a shot off, the lanky man jumps up and dashes out of sight. Alex shifts carefully to the left, watching and listening intently. A moment later, the lanky man swings across the doorway, Keltec pointed in Alex's direction.

The dream ends. Alex stirs a little, awakening. Yeah, he's still on Siesta. Yeah, that was a flashback.

He swallows hard and opens his eyes, the overwhelming white of the ship's surfaces irritating him further into his flashback-induced funk. He climbs out of bed. As his field of view shifts, he notices Diana is on the floor, unmoving.

Alex: ...ana.

He sounds groggy. He clears his throat.

Alex: Diana.

She shoots up into the air quickly.

Alex: ...sup.

He wipes his eyes.

Diana: I figured that I would "take a stab at" this "resting" thing.

Alex nods uncaringly and exits the room. Diana follows.

Diana: Good morning, by the way. The ship is detecting activity on the bridge as well as an unnatural heat source. Presumably, one of our guests is cooking.

Alex keeps walking down the hall. He responds with a low "'kay" a few seconds later.

Diana: I presume something is wrong and you wish to be left alone. Very well.

He looks over his shoulder. Diana is moving back down the hall the way they came.

Alex: Naw, come on. I had a dream about killin' someone. That always gets me in a bad mood.

Diana stops and moves back toward him. Alex blinks hard and yawns. Still groggy.

Diana: Very well!

She sounds cheerful, as usual. Well, cheerfully creepy--or creepily cheerful, but that's Diana for you. They soon enter the bridge. Over next to the enormous forward view screen, Fate has set up a card table and a griddle and appears to be cooking pancakes. Mmm, pancakes. They serve to lighten Alex's mood. Leon appears to be "waiting" over by a wall.

Alex appears over Fate's shoulder. She is unsurprised, as she is Ellixan and knew he was there as soon as he entered the bridge.

Alex: Makin' me any?
Fate: No.

Alex moves to a more comfortable distance from the Ellixan woman and shrugs to himself. After a long pause, Fate continues speaking.

Fate: Would you like me to?
Alex: Uh. Yeah. Please. Thanks.

Fate moves over to her measuring cup and begins preparing more pancake batter. Alex feels awkward. Fate definitely doesn't talk if she doesn't have to. He turns to Diana.

Alex: What time is it, anyway?
Diana: 0720.

Alex recalls when he went to bed. It must have been 0030. He suddenly feels sleepier.

Fate: Leon.

Leon's head jerks to look at Fate.

Fate: Pancakes.

Leon nods and walks over to the card table.

About an hour passes before Sam, Dave, and Carl emerge from their places of rest, almost simultaneously. Unfortunately, they're too late for pancakes and scrounge for cereal in Alex's Spacehawk. Alex draws a direct correlation between waking up from a dream about killing a guy and getting yummy pancakes.
Eventually, everybody sits down on the bridge.

Sam: Alright, guys. We need to head back to Flistna, but we're going to have to keep a low profile. We need to find some way to contact the TCF and clear our names. Alex, you still have that armband, don't you?
Alex: Yeah, but it would just teleport us into--
Sam: Where is it?

Alex glares. He doesn't like being cut off.

Alex: It's in my Spacehawk.
Sam: Good. You should go get it.
Alex: ...Diana, would you go get the weird armband from my footlocker in my ship?
Diana: Certainly.

She zips off surprisingly quickly.

Sam: They have a way of tracking those things. We're way too far away right now, but we might be able to set a trap with it.
Alex: The TCF won't be coming after us themselves.
Sam: So we'll capture one of their bounty hunters and make him talk.
Alex: Pfft.
Sam: I'm not staying out here forever. I have a business to run.
Alex: They probably bombed the place by now.
Sam: Aren't you all puppies and starshine?
Alex: Yup! Super Grin

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Diana returns empty-"handed."

Alex: Did you get it?
Diana: Yes.

There is a silence. Sam suddenly feels his bladder begging for mercy, so he marches off to find a commode.

Alex: Could I... have it... please?
Diana: Yes.

Alex appears as if he has prepared himself to be punched in the face.

A slot opens up in Diana's seamless steel body and one of her many horrible appendages emerges clutching the TCF armband. Alex takes it and Diana quickly retracts her limb, knowing that Alex does not handle its presence all that well.

Sam finally returns, presumably after having successfully relieved himself into a proper waste receptacle.

Alex: You missed her appendage.
Sam: I'm sorry.

Sam fights a chill and starts thinking of more pleasant things such as poison darts and acid.

Alex: So, how's this going to go down?
Sam: We're going back to Morganville.
Alex: And...?
Sam: We're clearing our names.

Alex waits.

Alex: .... Anything else?
Sam: That's it. Hey, Boss!

Boss nearly falls out of the captain's chair in the center of the bridge. He was apparently asleep.

Boss: Wharght?!
Sam: Let's get goin' to Flistna.
Boss: Oh, all right.

He does... something... with the controls that causes the ship to begin moving. He then dozes off again.

Fate and Leon are nearby, sitting at the card table cleaning their firearms. Bored, Alex pulls a chair over—not too close though—to watch.

Only a few minutes pass, but it seems like hours watching the extremely boring task. He decides to try cleaning up the corroded pulse rifle he found on the derelict Vansidian capital ship only a few weeks ago.

He makes his way to the hangar where his Spacehawk rests and lowers the loading ramp. He enters the cargo hold and digs through some boxes to find the rifle. He eventually does and digs up some CLP and a rag. He takes a good, long look at the disgustingly corroded rifle and surmises that he'll probably need more than some CLP.

He scrounges through some more boxes until he finds an old pressure washer, finish and wheels long-gone. He probably pulled it out of a floating wreck somewhere in space a long time ago. He drags it, screeching on the metallic floor, and the rifle out into the Siesta's hangar. He finds a hose to hook it up and a power outlet.

He begins to blast the crud off the rifle...

---

Hours later, the Siesta arrives within Flistna's orbit. Everybody loads up onto Alex's ship and they exit the hangar to head down to Morganville.

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Something on the bridge beeps. With a loud snrrk, Boss again awakens and hits a button.

Boss: This is Siesta.
Voice: This is Yahman Ground Control. We detected your ship entering Flistnan orbit. Please declare your intentions.
Boss: Just cartin' some fellas--and lady--around.

Boss listens intently to the silence. Yahman Ground Control speaks again after a few moments.

Voice: Uh, okay. Have a good day.

Boss shrugs. A few minutes later, the Spacehawk has arrived in an empty drive-in theater a few blocks from Jorgenson Ship Dealers. Alex slings his P330 and Leon hands Dave his Carbon 15, figuring by his appearance that he's more reliable with a gun than Carl. Carl gets the shaft.

If only he knew how much shaft he was about to get, as he soon finds himself standing in the middle of a field, wearing the TCF armband.

Carl: I'm probably going to die, right?

Nobody responds. The rest of Da Crew is hiding in the treeline on the side of the field, well-armed.

Carl: I mean, some guy's going to shoot me in the face, right? Should I repent and stuff before I die?

Nobody responds. He sighs and sits on the ground.

Alex: This is kind of mean, isn't it?
Sam: Yup.

Nobody does anything about it. Fifteen minutes pass. Carl pulls a Gameboy Advance out of his pocket.

Leon raises his head and wears a facial expression as if he heard something. His nostrils flare. No, he smelled something. He suddenly turns right and leaps off into the woods, shouldering his AR15. Everybody looks dumbfounded.

Alex: Guys, come on...!

He takes off running after Leon. By the time he catches up, Leon has already had a melee with five men. Four of them are unconscious. Leon has the fifth pinned to a tree. He keeps his leg away so the pee doesn't get on him.

Bounty Hunter: Wh-wh-y-y-you're Le-Le-Leon Mecheeto!

Leon is stone cold, staring the man down, unblinking. The bounty hunter didn't know he even had this much urine. In his lifetime.

Leon: Why are you after us?

The bounty hunter begins to hyperventilate.

Leon: WHY.
Bounty Hunter: Th-the Teas Covert Forces! They put out a bounty!
Leon: WHY!
Bounty Hunter: B-b-b-because--because... I don't know! They didn't say!

Leon squints more.

Bounty Hunter: PLEASE DON'T DO THAT.

Alex, standing a good ten feet away, gets a whiff of the guy's pants. He recoils and covers his nose with his shirt.

Leon squeezes the bounty hunter's neck a little tighter. He wheezes.

Bounty Hunter: I-I think it had something to do with... with somebody sabotaging a space station. Or something! It was on the news!
Leon: Do you have a contact for the bounty?
Bounty Hunter: He told Alan where to meet him when we catch you guys to get the bounty. I don't know where!
Leon: Which one's Alan?

The bounty hunter points at one of the unconscious men on the ground. Leon punches him in the face and drops him on the ground before walking over to Alan. He tosses Alan's MP5 away and smacks him around in an attempt to wake him up. The others take the hint and remove the rest of the bounty hunters' weapons.

Alan groans and rubs his jaw. He opens his eyes to see Leon in his face and promptly slams his own head back down on the ground.

Leon: You're Alan.

Alan doesn't say anything, since that wasn't a question.

Leon: Where do you meet your bounty contact?

Alan doesn't respond in any way. Leon stands up. Without warning, he pulls out his Glock and shoots Alan in the upper arm. Alan howls.

Leon: There are plenty more men from whom I can get this information.

Alan, lying grimacing and clutching the bullet hole in his arm, rightfully fills in the blank at the end with "I have no problem killing you."

Alan: FINE. The money... isn't worth my life.

Alex nods in the background. Dave realizes Carl is still sitting alone in the field, so he runs off to get him. Alan grits his teeth, trying to fight the pain enough to speak. Leon continues aiming the Glock at Alan's face.

Alan: I... met him at... 42 Fyerko Street... There's an office, they make it look like... it's not in use...
Leon: When would you meet him?
Alan: 1700... He's there every other day... He'll be there... tomorrow...

Leon nods, turns, and walks off into the woods. The others, eyeing the bounty hunters as they back off, soon follow him.

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Da Crew are walking down a crowded sidewalk back in Morganville toward Sam's shop. On the way, they pass the same outdoor cafe in which Leon dined and overheard talk of a bounty on his sister.

Four men who appear drunk sit at a table near the sidewalk. One stands up suddenly, drawing Leon's attention. He does not make it noticeable however.

Man: You're an Ellixan!

Leon continues walking, which causes the drunken man to act quicker than he wanted.

Man: You ain't sho tuff!

He sloppily pulls back his fist and swings, but his fist lands right in Leon's palm.

The drunken man is already flying into the table at which his cohorts are sitting.

This serves to anger them all, and they all rush Leon.

Alex and the others just step back, careful not to blink so they don't miss the punishment that Leon will administer.

Two are flying back to their table. The other receives a boot to the face, and the final one gets his right arm pulled out of his socket—or at least it feels that way.

Leon continues walking.

Alex: Well, that was relevant.

They finally make it to Jorgenson Ship Dealers with no further drunken encounters.

Sam digs around for his keys and opens up the repair bay. They all go inside.

Alex: Now what?
Leon: Wait here. Stay away from the windows. Be armed at all times. Don't go anywhere alone.

Immediately breaking his own rule, he heads out the front door.

Alex: Where're you going?
Leon: To get some ammo.

With that, he's off to find a hardware store to buy some ammunition.

Alex shrugs.

Alex: He said don't go anywhere alone.

Alex follows Leon.

Sam sets the duffle bag onto the floor and pulls out all their rifles.

Down the street, Leon and Alex enter "Jeb's Hardware and Appliance." The man behind the desk, presumably Jeb, greets them.

Jeb: If there's anything I can help you with, just let me know.
Leon: I need some ammunition. A thousand each of 5.56mm, .40, and 9mm, full-metal jacket, steel-core, brass-cased.

Jeb's brow raises. He reaches down into a cabinet behind mumbling to himself and pulling out cases of ammo and naming each caliber.

Jeb: 5.56x45mm... .40 Smith and Wesson... 9mm Luger...

He sets a case each of .40 and 9mm marked "Speer Gold Dot" on the counter. He picks up a plain brown box of 5.56mm from Salt Lake City.

Jeb: This is my most expensive 5.56 ammo. This stuff's hard to get.

They complete the transaction and make their way out of the store hauling cases of shiny new ammunition.

They return to the shop to a very paranoid and superstitious lot.

Alex: We getting back to Siesta and coming back down tomorrow?

Leon nods.

They all climb aboard the Spacehawk and blast off into orbit, docking in Siesta's hangar.

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

After another stint of Super Baseball 2020--unfortunately, the only video game they have on Siesta, not counting Carl's GBA--everybody once again retires, in wait of tomorrow's inevitable excitement.

You know what this means, folks. Alex is gonna have another dream, 'cause he's important.

Cue wavy transition...

The lanky man with the Keltec disappears to the other side of the doorway. Alex lets three rounds loose through the sheetrock. Apparently one of them found its mark, as there's a shout and a thud. Alex jumps through the doorway.

The lanky man isn't there, but his gun is sitting on the floor. Must've hit his arm.

There's a stairway on the right side of the room and a door into the kitchen on the left. He couldn't have gotten to the stairs without Alex seeing him, so he must be in the kitchen.

Alex runs into the kitchen to the sight of the lanky man ramming his shoulder into a glass door, trying to break it, but failing. Alex shoots out his knee. He drops to the floor, looking rather frightened. He covers his face with his good hand.

Man: Please! Don't kill me!
Alex: That's what she said.

He shoots him in the face, unblinking.

Alex groggily opens his eyes, again being harassed by the stark white walls. Diana isn't in his room this morning.

Alex: ...That was cliched. I didn't really say that, did I?

He rolls over and falls out of the bed. Apparently he was closer to the edge than he thought. He picks himself up and heads for the bridge, still barefoot, shirtless, and wearing sweatpants. Surprisingly, Sam is already up and about. Sam looks at Alex as he enters the bridge and, obviously, notices his shirtlessness.

Sam: Oh! Uggh! The paleness! It's blinding!
Alex: Stifu.

Alex opens the superigerator and removes a jug of milk with his name written on it in Sharpie. He chugs straight out of the jug.

Alex: ...Where's everyone else?
Sam: I dunno. Guess they're not up yet.
Alex: But you are.

Sam shrugs. Alex continues digging through the superigerator, looking for something to eat.

About thirty minutes later, the rest of Da Crew rushes like a torrent into the bridge and ransacks the place for food. Dave is wearing a music player on his belt and headphones, but the Metallica can clearly be heard by all.

Dave: I'm friggin' pumped.
Alex: Good for you.

Alex chomps on the cold chicken strips he found.

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Sam: Okay, so what's the plan? We head to this "office" and find the guy..Then shove guns in his face and demand answers?
Alex: ...You know it!

In the background, you can still hear Dave's music blaring away. Carl is hiding in the breakroom, passed out on a long, sleek couch. His snoring rivals that of the sound of Dave's music.

Alex: So..Flistna, 42 Fyerko street?
Leon: I suppose so.
Sam: That's in a shopping center not far from my Shop. We can land at my place and take my old hovercar into town
Boss: I hope you plan on taking that ship of yours, Alex. I'm not landing this thing down there.
Alex: Yeah, yeah. I'll go prep the ship. Sam, Leon, grab your things and meet me there I 'spose.
Leon: What about Dave and Carl?
Sam: Do you want to hear snoring and blaring music the entire trip? They won't even notice.
Leon: Good point.

Alex goes on ahead of Sam and Leon and prepares his ship for the flight down to Flistna. Meanwhile Sam and Leon are grabbing their gear. Weapons, Ammo, and Sandwiches. Eventually they head on over and climb up into Alex's ship.

Alex: Weapons?
Sam: Check.
Alex: Ammo?
Leon: Check.
Alex: Sandwiches?
Sam: You know..The walk out to this ship was a pretty long walk..
Alex: You ate them all?
Sam: ..Yeah.
Alex: Bawling

The hatch door slowly closes and Alex starts up the ship. Boss flips a few switches and the hangar door opens up, the Trio flies out and heads down for Flistna.

FF>>

A short while later, they pull down into Sam's shop and land in one of the empty lots. They grab their stuff and pile into Sam's old hovercar. In a few moments the vehicle is off the ground an en-route to the shopping district outside of Morganville. After a 20 minute drive Sam pulls over and parks the vehicle about a block down the road from the old office. Sam and Alex both load fresh charges into their PDS's.

Leon: PDS's? Pffffft.
Sam: If you wanna get shot, be my guest.
Leon: Pfffffft.

The gear up and duck into the nearest ally. They follow the ally a short way, then hang a left and follow it to the near-end of the block. In front of them now is what appears to be an old run-down building with boarded up windows.

Sam: This must be the place.

Sam points out a roof-access ladder in the back.

Sam: I've got an idea. You two head up there, I'm sure there's some sort of way in from up there.

Alex shrugs and heads up, followed by Leon. About five minutes later, Sam knocks on the front door over, and over, and over again.

Sam: Pizza delivery!

There's silence.

Sam: ..Pizza delivery!

More silence.

Sam: Come get your pizza before I eat it. Blink

Sam can see a quick glimpse of someone peering out the edge of one of the boarded up windows. The door creaks open half way and the man sticks his head out.

??: I didn't order any pizza, go away.

Alex, and Leon, both now standing behind the man place teir guns against the back of his head.

Leon: But I did.

Leon Promptly drags the man inside, and Sam follows them in, closing the door behind him. The man was dressed  in the same type of suit as the TCF agent's they've seen before.

Agent: You're making a real dumb decision.
Sam: No, you what a dumb decision will be? If you don't do what I ask. I want you to clear the bounties on our heads.
Agent: Heh..I'm not authorized to do that. And even if I was, why would I help you?
Alex: Because getting shot in the head would hurt, I suspect.

Leon glares around the room, and points out that there's a laptop set up on an old, dusty desk in the back corner.

Leon: That yours?
Agent: What's it to you?
Leon: I asked you a question.

Leon kicks the man in the back of the knee, causing him to fall to his knees. Sam heads over to the computer to find out that the man is logged into the TCF network, with an access level of 4. Sam clicks around and eventually finds a database of people who are "Red flagged" to be hunted. As you guessed, he found all of their name's on the list. A few clicks later, and they're all marked as "Exterminated."

Sam: Now the TCF thinks we're dead.
Agent: You actually think you'll get away with this? You won't last a week once they find out what you've done!

Leon knees the man in his back, causing his sunglasses to fall off and hit the ground. In a sudden burst of energy, the man shoots his right arm around, and reaches to hit a button on the bracer on his left arm. He's promptly shot by Alex. His body slumps to the ground.

Sam: ..I'm not cleaning that up.

Alex raises an eyebrow. He walks over towards Sam, as he steps across the old hardwood floor, he comes across a hollow sounding area. Curious, he reaches down and feels around, there's a small area cut out of the floor. He sticks his finger in and pulls the loose board up. Inside was a briefcase. Alex pulled it out.

Alex: They must be using this place as a drop for whatever it is they do.

Alex carries it over and tosses it on the table next to the laptop. He clicks open the locks and opens it up. Inside are four vials, set inside a special case. The vials are filled with a liquid with a deep purple hue to it.

Leon: Uh..?

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Alex: ...Any clue what this is?

Leon and Sam shake their heads.

Sam: We should take it.

Alex looks at Sam... and then the dead body right next to him. He bites his lip.

Alex: ...Should we get rid of that or something?
Leon: If we leave the building with it, someone will see. Leave it.

Alex nods a little bit and turns back to the case.

Alex: The last time we took some TCF crud with us, it got us thirty murderous beasts... but what the heck.

He closes and latches the case, sliding it off the table.

Alex: Hopefully the TCF'll just think some bounty hunters got greedy...

They leave out the back of the building, trekking back to Sam's hovercar and beginning the drive back to Jorgenson Ship Dealers.

Alex: So... want to take bets what this stuff is?
Sam: Instant nerve gas--just add water.
Leon: Grape soda.

Alex gives Leon a Look. Leon is expressionless. They arrive back at the dealership shortly.

Alex: Let's head back up to Siesta. I bet they have some kind of substance scanner device or something.

Diana floats out of the Spacehawk.

Diana: It does not.

Alex's eyes widen.

Alex: I had no idea you came with us.
Diana: I figured as much, as you left me all alone, bored, in your piddly ship.

She doesn't sound happy.

Alex: Watch it. Anyway, no substance scanner device or something, eh?
Diana: Correct.
Alex: So how do we find out what it is--

The briefcase is snatched from his hand. He swings around. One of the TCF agents that recruited him and Sam happens to be standing there.

Agent: I'll tell you what it is.

Alex draws the frag down.

Agent: Holster your weapon. We know about the death of Agent Holkins. He stole the case and went rogue. His death is excused.

Alex's lower lip juts out and he nods in surprise.

Alex: Convenient.
Agent: The vials were seized from a terrorist group operating out of the Scisins. It is a viral agent, but we haven't determined what it does.
Sam: Why are you telling us this?
Alex: Yeah. You guys are usually all secretive and junk.
Agent: I'm... not working in my jurisdiction at the moment.
Sam: So you're rogue too.

The agent's silence confirms it.

Alex: Oh wait wait wait wait. You want us to do something with this... right?

The agent takes a deep breath, hesitating.

Alex: My gosh.

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Sam: Let me guess..Transport it somewhere? Give it to someone? Make Leon drink it and see what it does?
Leon: Huh?
Sam: Nothing.
Agent: It needs to go to Liavor, in the Mircor system. I have a contact there, Leonard Fitz. He runs on a small Robulus crystal mining company called GeoMining Inc.
Alex: That's pretty far. Why can't your 'contact'..you know..come here?
Agent: He doesn't have a ship capable of getting out here.
Alex: And do we know you're even legit? What if this contact of yours is some crazy scientist bent on total domination?!
Agent: You don't. But I assure you, with the death of Agent Holkins, his contacts will find out very shortly that their briefcase is missing. And they'll stop at nothing to obtain it. If they should obtain what's in those vials, it would only be a matter of time before chaos breaks loose.
Sam: ..Chaos?
Agent: Inter-galactic terrorism. If they're able to harness that virus, they'll be able to hold the galaxy at their fingertips.
Sam: ..And what does some crystal miner want with something like this?
Agent: Mining is simply a disguise. He has a large laboratory that he placed in an area he excavated underneath his storefront. His real name is Dr. George Holt. You may have heard of him.
Alex: Dr. Holt? isn't that the guy who came up with the original prototype blaster..The first guy to harness energy crystals into a weapon?
Agent: Correct.
Alex: He must be ancient by now.
Agent: Heh..He is old, yes. But his knowlege hasn't faded.
Sam: So..What do we get out of this?
Agent: You name your reward. The lives of billions are worth more than any material possesion.
Sam: ...Sounds good to me!

The Agent extends the briefcase outwards towards Sam. Reluctantly, Sam grabs the briefcase.

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Alex: But... why are you operating outside the TCF?
Agent: Holkins.

He can see Alex isn't following.

Sam: I think he means there could be more rogues.
Agent: Precisely. Let's please step inside.

He gestures toward Alex's ship.

Agent: We aren't safe discussing this outside.

They step in. Alex raises the cargo ramp. Having the agent in his ship raises his apprehension. The agent continues his story.

Agent: My department head is acting too slowly and wants the viral agent under TCF control, but I fear we've been too deeply compromised.
Leon: Understandable.
Agent: I also think he... has his own agenda. I believe you were there when the clones escaped.
Alex: Yeah. They tried to kill us. That, uh, Holkins. He said there was no cloning operation.
Agent: As far as he knew, there wasn't. Division didn't approve the operation. It was off the books.
Alex: Okay, but... why does Holt want the virus?
Agent: I can't divulge that information.

Alex places his hand on his pistol.

Alex: The frag you can't. I already killed one of you scumbags today, I--
Sam: Alex.
Alex: What?
Agent: ...Honestly, I don't know why he wants it, but I trust him.

Alex eyes him.

Alex: Fine. We'll go, but you should know if that crackpot doesn't give me some answers, I'm flying this briefcase out into space and hurling it into the star.

The agent takes a deep breath.

Agent: Fair enough.
Alex: A'ight, get outta my ship. We got work to do.
Agent: Thank you.

The agent reaches over and hits the teleport button on his armband.

RE: Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Alex starts up the ship and begins his trip back up to the Siesta. Leon reclines in a chair while Sam sets down the briefcase on a table and sits next to it.

Sam: ..Hey Leon. I'll give ya $5 if you drink one of those.
Leon: ...

Leon stares at Sam.

Sam: Ah, c'mon! Lighten up!
Leon: ...

Sam clicks open the briefcase and takes out one of the vials, examining it.

Sam: I wonder what this stuff does..?

Sam taps the gauge at the top of the vial. The needle jumps, but stays steady at 78%. Sam shoves the vial back into the case and closes it. Leon leans back and closes his eyes while Sam gets up and heads up to the cockpit, taking a seat next to Alex.

Alex: ..How do we get ourselves caught up in this stuff all the time?
Sam: Luck. I went from sellings ships..To smuggling super-virsus across the Universe.

The Siesta is in sight out of the cockpit window. However, the bay door isn't opening. Alex opens a comm line with the Siesta.

Alex: Boss..You there?
