I'm thinking some kind of independant group of "enforcers" who go about enforcing their own law in the universe.
Raelan inventor/mage 12/8/2008 8:35:09 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 94	RE: December! once I equip my ship (or make one) to let me use my magic in space I'll be a happy space presence, but logically, there would be pirates, renegades, thieves guilds, and such in space, if you put up a few space stations as roleplayable places (maybe one built out of a busted up scrapped down MDS? I think you have a couple floating around in space dead) anyway, that's prolly a couple ways to make a bigger space presence, and well, I don't like playing more than two players, but the one thread, the other player has become terribly busy, the other.... someone's taking their time..... but I could make a spacefarer, I won't have someone with the resources to make a full on space station (less you give me permission to find a busted up, already raided for anything interesting MDS floating in space). but he could be a patroller, or maybe even a pirate, or thief himself.

There are really not any magic users around any more. Tarren and Vladmir I think were the last ones. I know Daireem is less magic than Meeriad was... but why is that? I am trying to think if I have ever had a magic using character. If I remember right, Chris was when he started out. I don't recall for sure though. Of course now, I can't picture him using magic. *Goes off to his notepad and starts coming up with ideas... maybe.*

Have you been reading Daireem at all lately, Chris? EVERY newcomer is a magic user. Magic is rare in Daireem because there are few magically sensitive people. They pretty much all originate in certain regions of Meeriad or Micc. Other than that... nada. And to be honest, I like to keep a sort of mystery and awe about magic users. When the average person runs across a mage they're going to act like idiots and ask the questions that make magic users hate commoners. "Whoa! Can you, like, pull a rabbit out of a hat? Hey, make me disappear! Haw haw! I'm so funny." And the magic users just grit their teeth and hold back from beating you senseless.
